Give a formal notice you can prove

You need to show that a notice was given, and when. The sender records it with its wallet; the addressees can acknowledge receipt with theirs.

The situation

  • A party giving notice of termination under a services agreement.
  • A supplier giving notice of a price change or of non-renewal, as the contract requires.
  • A party notifying a breach and the start of a cure period.

Who signs and when it is done

Who signs

The sender — addressees optionally acknowledge

The sender is listed first and signs. Each addressee may sign an acknowledgement of receipt from its own account. A notice can be linked to the agreement it refers to.

Done when

Notice given

When the sender’s signature is recorded on the ledger. The verification also shows how many addressees acknowledged receipt.

How it works

1 · Prepare

Enter the sender and the addressees and their accounts; optionally link the agreement the notice refers to. Load the notice PDF.

2 · Sign

The sender signs with HSuite Wallet. The notice is recorded as given.

3 · Deliver

Send the notice PDF with its verification link to the addressees — for example, by e-mail, as the model provision for notices suggests.

4 · Acknowledge

Addressees may acknowledge receipt with their own wallet. Not acknowledging does not undo the record of sending.

What you get

  • One signed PDF. The document followed by a notice certificate, with a QR code that opens the verification.
  • The evidence inside it. The original document and the evidence file are attached to the signed PDF, so it verifies on its own.
  • Verification without us. Anyone drops the signed PDF on the Verify page, or scans the code: the browser re-reads the public ledger and re-checks every signature. No account, no wallet, no server — and it keeps working even if this site disappears.

Limits

  • Proves sending and acknowledgement — not reading. The record proves the notice was given and, if an addressee signs, that receipt was acknowledged. It does not prove anyone read it.
  • Some notices have a legal form. Notices to consumers or employees, or required by a statute, may have to follow a form set by law. Check before relying on this.
  • Not a qualified electronic signature. Not eIDAS-qualified, not ICP-Brasil, not notarised or registered. Documents that the law requires in a special form may not be signable this way.
  • A signature proves the key, not the person. It shows that the designated account signed. Identity and authority to sign are checked by the parties, through channels they trust.
  • Keys are the signer’s responsibility. A lost key cannot be recovered by us, and a signature made with a compromised key may be attributed to its owner.
  • Public and permanent. Names, the title and the PDF fingerprint are visible on the ledger forever. Use a neutral title if needed; the PDF itself is never recorded.
  • Check the governing law. Legal effect depends on the law and on what the signers agreed. This version works with HSuite Wallet and single-key accounts.

Rehearse it on testnet first

Testnet records have no legal value, which makes them the right place for a dry run with the other signers.
